The main topic is: "Geothermal energy for North Rhine-Westphalia". The conditions for using geothermal energy in Germany have never been more favorable than they are today. In times of rising energy prices, consumers are becoming more aware of the fact that government subsidy programs offer attractive conditions for using geothermal energy in a wide range of applications, for example to meet the statutory obligation to use a proportion of renewable energies in the heating of buildings, which has been in place since the beginning of 2009.
The booklet also contains an in-depth interview with Prof. Dr. Bernhard Hoffschmidt, head of the Jülich Solar Institute at Aachen University of Applied Sciences, on the subject of "Exploring the Sun. In Jülich, the solar thermal demonstration and experimental power plant started its test operation in August. The aim of the solar tower is to test the developed technology as a complete system for the first time, to optimize the individual components in the system, and to gain experience in operating the power plant.
In addition, the new innovation & energie offers, as always, many more exciting reports, news, interviews and event information on the subjects of renewable energies, energy efficiency and climate protection.
