The main topic is: "Clusters for climate protection". North Rhine-Westphalia is an energy region with tradition and future, the most important in Europe. Since industrialization, the generation and use of energy have had a decisive influence on economic and social development here. Today, North Rhine-Westphalia converts and consumes the most energy in Germany and emits the greatest amount of CO2.
The issue also contains a detailed interview with Prof. Dr.-Ing. Detlef Stolten from the Jülich Research Center on the subject of the 18th World Hydrogen Energy Conference (WHEC 2010). The state of North Rhine-Westphalia is supporting the conference, which aims to significantly advance hydrogen as an energy carrier on the way to a sustainable, climate-friendly energy economy.
In addition, the new innovation & energie offers, as always, many more exciting reports, news, interviews and event information on the subjects of renewable energies, energy efficiency and climate protection.
