The main topic is "Climate protection on the curriculum". Around 1,100 schools throughout North Rhine-Westphalia are "bursting with energy" to save energy. They all deal with the economical use of energy or the use of renewable energies. Schools can save up to 15 percent energy through low-investment measures and the conscious use of water, heat and electricity in everyday school life. Comfort does not have to be sacrificed in the process.
The booklet also contains an interview with Jörn Hevendehl, assistant to the management of the anteholz Group, Markus Mann, managing director of Westerwälder Holzpellets GmbH, and Josef Baust, owner of BAUST Holzbetriebe GmbH, on the subject of "Growing business". The market for wood pellets in NRW is developing very promisingly. More than 8,200 buildings are now heated with wood pellets. By way of comparison, in 2003 the figure was still 500. We spoke to three pellet manufacturers. All three companies are regarded as pellet pioneers and support the "Wood Pellets Campaign" of the EnergyAgency.NRW.
In addition, the new innovation & energie offers, as always, many more exciting reports, news, interviews and event information on the subjects of renewable energies, energy efficiency and climate protection.
