The main topic is: "Modern Construction and Refurbishment". Solar construction and renovation has now become the epitome of contemporary, sustainable, i.e. above all energy-conscious living. Rising energy prices and climate change are the apparent motives, among others, for investors, architects, engineers and political decision-makers to act.
The issue also contains an interview with Uwe Neuhaus, a member of the board of Erbbauverein Köln, on the subject of "Taking account of tenants' needs. Since 2000, Erbbauverein Köln has already built solar housing estates in the Cologne districts of Riehl, Mülheim and Deutz. The housing cooperative is now planning its fourth solar housing estate on Friedrich-Karl-Strasse in Cologne-Niehl. Here, 143 apartments with a living space of 10,000 m2 will be built. The buildings will have three to five stories. The concept provides for high-quality thermal insulation and woodchip heating, which is supported by solar thermal collectors and a gas-fired peak boiler. In addition, the solar collectors provide 55 percent of the hot water. Reason enough for "Innovation & Energy" to ask Uwe Neuhaus about his motivation for investing in solar housing developments.
In addition, the new innovation & energie offers, as always, many more exciting reports, news, interviews and event information on the subjects of renewable energies, energy efficiency and climate protection.
