The main topic will be "Status of wind power in NRW". Together with bioenergy, wind energy in North Rhine-Westphalia forms one of two central pillars of regenerative power generation. In 2009, wind energy (42%) and bioenergy (46%) accounted for almost 90% of the total amount of regenerative electricity produced in NRW in the order of almost 10 billion kWh. Their contribution to climate protection in the electricity sector is correspondingly high.
The magazine also contains an in-depth interview with Dr. Thomas Tschiesche, EFI Energy Farming International GmbH, based in Stemwede and Mülheim an der Ruhr, on the subject of "5 percent wind energy by 2020? NRW wants to increase the share of wind energy from just three percent of today's electricity supply to at least 15 percent by 2020. The Wind Energy and Repowering Decree is to be revised. We asked Dr. Thomas Tschiesche what course needs to be set.
In addition, the new innovation & energie offers, as always, many more exciting reports, news, interviews and event information on the subjects of renewable energies, energy efficiency and climate protection.
