Wystrach GmbH from Weeze is exhibiting tailored solutions for storing and transporting gases: from gas cylinders and gas cylinder banks through to gas containers as large-scale storage tanks. Wystrach has achieved a leading position in the world as a certified full-service specialist in this challenging and safety-sensitive field.
Energy that protects the climate
Maschinenfabrik Wagner GmbH & Co. KG from Much has enjoyed the reputation of providing with its Plarad brand quality, innovation and reliability in the field of bolting technology for more than 50 years now. It is exhibiting efficient solutions for bolted connections on wind turbines - from the foundations to the rotor blade. SolarWorld AG from Bonn is presenting high-tech solar power solutions. From the raw material of silicon, and solar wafers and panels through to the solar power module, the company houses all the stages of production under one roof. This includes their own research and development. The simultaneous production of heat and power is being presented by the campaign “KWK.NRW – Power Meets Heat“ run by EnergyAgency.NRW . The campaign brings together more than 60 companies and research institutions, associations and interest groups in order to intensify the activities in the activities in the field of combined power and heat generation (CHP).
Energy from the fuel cell
Gräbener Maschinentechnik GmbH & Co. KG from Netphen-Werthenbach is a full-service provider for the development and production of economical fuel cell systems and it will also be present on the stand. The Duisburg-based Zentrum für BrennstoffTechnik (ZBT GmbH) offers independent development services in the fields of fuel cell systems, hydrogen infrastructure and innovative battery technologies. ZBT is one of Germany’s leading research centres for hydrogen and fuel cell technology. Innovative fuel cell and hydrogen technologies are also the central attraction of presentations by Westfälisches Energieinstitut from Gelsenkirchen and the company Melicon GmbH from Hückelhoven. The Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Network of the EnergyAgency.NRW provides an excellent networking opportunity. Almost 400 members from industry and science already make use of the Network’s services.
Intelligent energy applications
The Bielefeld-based company GILDEMEISTER will be demonstrating complete solutions in everything to do with energy efficiency and energy management, and also for the generation, storage and intelligent application of renewable energy sources for large- and small-scale industrial customers and local authorities. WATERKOTTE GmbH from Herne will be presenting future-proof heating technologies. Alongside the heat pump, the controlled, centralised ventilation system, the PV battery storage system and the home management system are major elements of this system company. The individual components interlink like cogs and their overriding objective is to provide maximum efficiency with the greatest possible comfort. The subject of energy efficiency and energy conservation is the concern of the University of Siegen, which is presenting an innovative software solution.
The Bochum University of Applied Sciences (Hochschule Bochum) will be presenting a real highlight in the form of the thyssenkrupp SunRiser solar-powered electric car. Developed as a thoroughbred, two-seated sports coupe, this energy-efficient car is intended to demonstrate that electromobility is not only sensible and sustainable, but also capable of making a strong emotional impact. The Aachen-based Elektormobilitätslabor (eLab) will be demonstrating the infrastructure needed for successful research and development in the field of electromobility. Thanks to the involvement of a number of institutes of RWTH Aachen University in the Laboratory, there is a concentration of the University’s competence in the individual disciplines and it is guaranteed that various electromobility projects receive excellent specialist support. The subject of electromobility is also a major concern of the initiative HyCologne - Wasserstoff Region Rheinland e.V. based in Hürth. HyCologne currently consists of 26 private companies and public organisations, and it develops and organises projects in the fields of hydrogen and fuel cells, and of electromobility. EBG compleo GmbH from Lünen rounds off this domain with innovative charging stations.
Good for the environment
The company K. Schräder Nachfahren is exhibiting waste gas heat exchangers . This Kamen-based company will be presenting various possible applications: energy recovery for in-process use, in-house use (hot water supply or generation of cold) and sale to third parties, for instance to a local heating network. Schräder also offers heat exchangers which meet special requirements for use in combined power and heat plants. fette GmbH from Bad Salzuflen will be showing individually designed chimneys, piping systems and sound absorbers of steel and stainless steel. The Kempen-based company SEW GmbH will be presenting energy-conservation technologies for ventilation systems and process engineering installations. Hartmann Biofilter GmbH & Co. KG from Lichtenau will demonstrate biofilter systems for stock-breeding and for biogas installations. How to make vehicle fuel for effluent is what EMSCHERGENOSSENSCHAFT based in Essen will be showing. At one of the largest sewage treatment plans in Europe biomethane and hydrogen are produced to fuel motor vehicles.
Partners from the media and abroad
The Hannover Messe is getting a tremendous boost this year from having as its partner country the USA, which will be presenting “Made in America” high-tech. Collaboration with the USA is also a theme on the joint stand of North Rhine-Westphalia Future Energies NRW: At the Foreign Trade Information Point experts will be giving advice on opportunities for German companies on the US energy market and other international energy markets. The Springer-VDI publishing house will be the media partner with its specialist energy magazine BWK.

Experience North Rhine-Westphalia’s expertise live and in colour
The North Rhine-Westphalia evening with live music on Monday 25 April from 6 p.m. on the Joint "Factory Automation" Stand A 10 in Hall 16 will provide an opportunity to wind down and have fun after the first day of the fair.
On Tuesday 26 April starting at 6 p.m. there will then be an energy-charged exhibitors' evening on the Joint "Future Energies" Stand E 40 in Hall 27. Live music, imaginative beverages geared to fuel such conversations and catering typical of the region will round off the end of the second strenuous day at the fair.
In order to cut travelling times between the fair halls, a fuel cell bus will again provide a shuttle service to the fair site. The bus Type A330 FC from the Belgian Busmanufacturer Van Hool has been provided by the transport company Regionalverkehr Köln (RVK), for which it normally operates in the Hürth region. It will be fuelled on the open ground next to Hall 27 through Linde AG. The bus project is supported by Van Hool, RVK and the Canadian Fuel Cell Manufacturer Ballard Power Systems.
