The StreetScooter Works in Aachen produces electric vehicles specifically for the fleet of Deutsche Post. At the Aachen site electric vehicles are developed and produced for short routes. The range focuses on vehicle solutions for so-called "last mile" deliveries. The Aachen site also benefits from the presence of a famous university, RWTH Aachen university, which is also conducting research among other things into new mobility and the transport turnaround. The excursion will be concluded with a visit to the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site of Aachen Cathedral and the Cathedral Treasury.

Each excursion will also be accompanied by two interpreters and a simultaneous interpretation into English will be provided.
For each excursion provision will be made to cater for the participants. In addition the participants will be given a small food package (beverage/fruit etc.) on the bus. The catering will depend on the respective tour itinerary.
A photographer will document the excursion – on the following day in each case you will be able to download the photos of your excursion at www.energieagentur.nrw and use them free of charge in your press and public relations.
Bonn – Aachen
Every excursion starts and ends in Bonn. The starting point and destination is the FlixBus stop "Bonn Museumsmeile". This is located at Joseph-Beuys-Allee between intersections with Marie-Kahle-Allee and Emil-Nolde-Straße. To get to the bus station, take citytram lines 16, 18, 63, 66 or 68. Get off at "Heussallee/Museumsmeile", then walk via "Genscherallee" to Joseph-Beuys-Allee.

The EnergyAgency.NRW is organising the tours on behalf of the Federal Environment Ministry and the NRW state government. Its energy advisors and staff of KlimaExpo.NRW will accompany the trips as part of a four-person team of experts to give specialist support.

StreetScooter test ground, Aachen
The StreetScooter Works in Aachen was founded in 2010 in the vicinity of RWTH Aachen University based on the notion that electromobility can already be economically attractive even when small number of units are produced. See also the project here as part of the KlimaExpo.NRW.

The Electromobility Laboratory (eLab) provides an open infrastructure for research into electromobility. From technological development and testing through to the finished prototypes companies can profit from eLab. eLab's resources can be hired and flexibly used. RWTH Aachen University as the eLab's operator is available with its technology and consulting skills.
Aachen Cathedral is the coronation cathedral for German kings and is the burial place of Charlemagne – This dual function of Aachen Cathedral is part of its great appeal. But it's also the interesting architecture that casts a spell on many visitors. Aachen Cathedral was the first German monument to be awarded the title of UNESCO World Cultural Heritage.
