The entrepreneurs’ trip to Chile and Peru for the “Genera Latinoamérica” exhibition will take place from 1 to 6 October 2017. The focus will be on renewable energies, energy efficiency and distributed energy supply. Participants will have the opportunity to present themselves at the “Genera Latinoamérica” exhibition and at a symposium.
Chile is one of the world’s most attractive markets for renewable energies. Companies are attracted not only by the country’s huge natural potential, but also the political agenda, which strongly supports expansion. The government and businesses are also focusing ever more on energy efficiency. This is largely because Chileans pay the highest electricity prices in Latin America, which means there is huge potential for on-site power generation technologies in many industrial sectors, as well as technologies that help to save energy.
The “Made in Germany” brand is highly regarded in Chile and the extensive German community within the country makes it easy to form networks. Peru’s economic growth has been stable for some years now, and this means the country’s energy consumption is rising sharply too. There is huge potential for renewable energies. Alongside the expansion of energy supply in rural regions with the help of local solutions for solar and wind energy, the biomass market also offers good commercial opportunities. More specifically, there is frequently a lack of biogas technologies to ensure the effective use of waste products from agriculture and livestock.
The trip is aimed at providers of renewable energy technologies and distributed generation plants (solar-thermal, PV, CHP, geothermal, bioenergy, wind energy, solar pumps, heat pumps, etc.), at suppliers of instrumentation and measuring equipment for system monitoring and control, energy management systems, and at research, education and training institutions.
The programme of the entrepreneurs’ trip includes briefings with economic information on the relevant markets. In addition, visits will be offered and meetings arranged with possible business partners and the most important players in the sector. Most specifically, the aim is to facilitate contact with end customers. Furthermore, participants will have the opportunity to present themselves at the “Genera Latinoamérica” exhibition and at a symposium.
