Global Renewable Energy Solutions Showcase

The side event GLOBAL RENEWABLE ENERGY SOLUTIONS SHOWCASE (GRESS) in parallel and in conjunction with the UN Climate Change Conference COP23 will take place at the Federal Art and Exhibition Hall, Bonn on 7-8 November 2017. One main focus is on the presentation of the water battery as natural power storage facility by Max Bögl Wind AG. Their first project is currently being developed in Germany near Stuttgart. Additionally there will be the impressive art exhibition “Weather Report” to be held during GRESS. The exhibition asks to what extent short-term weather events and long-term climate change influence human civilisation and culture. Other topics will be: bringing energy to unserved areas, building capacities for the rapid uptake of renewables and the presentation of the film “Renewable Japan – Search for a New Energy Paradigm”. Co-hosts of the event are the Wind Energy Network NRW of the EnergyAgency.NRW, the International Geothermal Association, the International Hydropower Association, the International Solar Energy Society and the Welt-Windenergie Verband.
